A photographic masterpiece on Lake Geneva: a subtle tribute to your lake.

This book is a marvel! It didn't find a place on a shelf where it would remain lifeless... It's simply on my sofa...

I made a fantastic discovery with your book LAKE A MIRROR. These photos touch me deeply. Each one is a meditation

A work of precise observation, but also of patience and subtle work. BRAVO!

LEMAN BLEU TV INTERVIEW

Lake Geneva, the jewel of the Alps, can look very different depending on the season and the weather. Photographers have a field day, as does François Ventura. He has published MIROIR DU LÉMAN - LAKE A MIRROR with Editions Favre. These photos were taken from my home, explains the man who is also a doctor in Geneva. I've had the opportunity to be a little more at home in recent years, and I had this lake in front of me. It shines, it's incredible, and I had a spontaneous urge to pick up the camera and photograph it. The images presented in the book were taken without filters and were not worked on in post-production. It's a way for readers, he says, to dive into the photo and look at the emotions the lake brings us. The photos are untitled, with only the date and time to give an indication. Some photos are accompanied by a small quotation, either from Swiss authors (Ramuz, Blaise Cendrars), or from authors who have passed through Lake Geneva, such as Benjamin Constant. I didn't feel in a good position to write a whole text, so I did this research work, to find sentences that matched. I confess I didn't know that Victor Hugo had come to Vevey.
